Impairment charges surged sharply, increasing by over 500%, highlighting rising credit risks. Operating profit plummeted by 98.74%, while the overall profit for the period also saw a dramatic decline of 98.84%. The institution’s earnings per share (EPS) fell from NPR 14.10 in Chaitra 2080 to NPR 0.16 in Chaitra 2081, indicating a significant reduction in shareholder returns. On a positive note, the institution’s non-performing loan (NPL) ratio improved, decreasing from 14.35% to 4.97%, indicating better asset management. The cost of funds also decreased, and the interest rate spread improved, suggesting a more favorable margin in lending activities. In conclusion, while Infinity Lagubitta has experienced growth in its lending portfolio and deposits, its overall financial performance has been negatively impacted by rising impairment charges and a sharp decline in profitability. The institution will need to address operational inefficiencies and strengthen its asset quality to return to a more profitable path.
