According to the financial report, the company recorded a total trade value of Rs. 10.23 billion during the year, compared to Rs. 9.20 billion in the previous fiscal year. The data shows significant improvement in production and sales performance.

The Ministry of Finance had approved up to NPR 10 billion in loans for NEA on Ashar 20, and based on that approval, NPR 5 billion has already been disbursed. According to NEA’s Executive Director, Hitendra Dev Shakya, the loan at an interest rate of 5.38% has been utilized to address cash shortages and to make payments for various contracts and projects. He stated that the loan is essential for upgrading transmission line capacity, clearing outstanding payments, and ensuring quality electrification across the country.

Despite a rise in turnover compared to Thursday, all sectoral indices closed in red, indicating growing selling pressure among investors. The NEPSE index fell by 27.14 points to close at 2,761 points, down from 2,788 on Thursday. Continuous declines over recent sessions have heightened panic selling as investors attempt to minimize losses through stop-loss strategies, resulting in stronger selling pressure than buying demand. On Sunday, shares of 249 companies worth NPR 7.73 billion were traded, slightly higher than Thursday’s NPR 7.46 billion. However, the increased turnover failed to lift the market. Prices of 58 companies advanced while 191 declined, with all 13 sub-indices ending in negative territory. Trade, Others, Microfinance, Manufacturing & Processing, and Banking sub-indices dropped more than 1 percent. Analysts note that back-to-back double-digit losses have fueled panic among investors.

The company will issue 14,764,000 ordinary shares at a par value of NPR 100 each, equivalent to its current paid-up capital of NPR 1.47 billion, in a 1:1 ratio. This means that existing shareholders will be entitled to receive one rights share for every one share they currently hold. For rights eligibility, the company had already conducted a book closure on July 31, 2025 (Shrawan 16, 2082 BS). Therefore, only shareholders who were listed in NEPSE by July 30, 2025 (Shrawan 15) will be eligible to apply. Shareholders may submit their applications until September 24, 2025 (Ashoj 8, 2082 BS). The company stated that the funds raised from this rights issue will be utilized to repay bank and financial institution loans taken for its ongoing power generation projects. This move is expected to improve the company’s financial position and strengthen its operational capacity.

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) will withdraw Rs 60 billion from the banking system today at 3 PM through its deposit collection instrument to manage excess liquidity. Only ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ class banks and financial institutions can participate, with bids starting from Rs 1 billion in multiples of Rs 500 million. The instrument has a 31-day maturity, with repayment of principal and interest scheduled for October 17.नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले तरलता व्यवस्थापनका लागि आज दिउँसो ३ बजे निक्षेप संकलन उपकरणमार्फत बैंकिङ प्रणालीबाट ६० अर्ब रुपैयाँ खिच्न लागेको छ। यसमा ‘क’, ‘ख’ र ‘ग’ वर्गका बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाले न्यूनतम १० करोडदेखि बढीमा ५ करोडको गुणकमा बोलकबोल गर्न सक्नेछन्। निक्षेप ३१ दिनको रहनेछ र असोज १ गते साँवा तथा ब्याज भुक्तानी गरिनेछ।
