मध्यपूर्वमा जारी द्वन्द्वका कारण सिर्जित आर्थिक चुनौती सामना गर्न एशियाली विकास बैंक (एडीबी) ले आफ्ना विकासोन्मुख सदस्य राष्ट्रहरूका लागि विशेष सहायता प्याकेज घोषणा गरेको छ। यस प्याकेजले द्रुत बजेट सहायता, अत्यावश्यक वस्तुको आयात सुनिश्चित र व्यापार तथा आपूर्ति श्रृंखला सहज बनाउन सहयोग गर्नेछ, विशेष गरी इन्धन मूल्य वृद्धिलाई सम्बोधन गर्न। ढुवानी अवरोध र लागत वृद्धिले ऊर्जा, औद्योगिक कच्चा पदार्थ, पेट्रोकेमिकल्स, मल, कृषि र खाद्य उत्पादनमा असर पारेको छ। पर्यटन र रेमिट्यान्समा निर्भर देशहरू मुद्रास्फीति र वैदेशिक मुद्रा दबाबको सामना गरिरहेका छन्। एडीबीले आफ्नो ‘काउन्टरसाइकलिक सपोर्ट फेसिलिटी’ मार्फत सहुलियतपूर्ण ऋण उपलब्ध गराउनेछ र प्रभावित राष्ट्रहरूसँग आवश्यक सहयोगको छलफल सुरु भइसकेको छ।The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has launched a special assistance package for its developing member countries to address economic and financial challenges caused by the ongoing Middle East conflict. The package provides rapid budget support, ensures essential imports, and facilitates trade and supply chains, particularly to tackle rising fuel prices. Disruptions in transportation and increased costs are affecting energy, industrial raw materials, petrochemicals, fertilizers, agriculture, and food production. Countries reliant on tourism and remittances are also facing inflation and foreign currency pressures. ADB will offer concessional loans through its Countercyclical Support Facility to help governments reduce fiscal deficits and protect vulnerable populations. Discussions with the most affected member nations have already begun.
