The allotment process took place today at the office of the issue and sales manager, Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited, located in Thamel, Kathmandu. Sanvi Energy had issued a total of 2,415,300 shares to the general public at a face value of NPR 100 per share, from Jestha 9 to Jestha 13, 2081 (corresponding to May 22–26, 2025).

डिम्याट खाता ६७ लाख नाघ्यो, तर सक्रिय लगानीकर्ता कम काठमाडौं – सेयर बजारमा कारोबार गर्न अनिवार्य गरिएको डिम्याट खाता (हितग्राही खाता) खोल्नेको संख्या ६७ लाख ५२ हजार नाघेको नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्डको तथ्यांकले देखाएको छ। तर, यति धेरै डिम्याट खाता खुले पनि बजारमा सक्रिय रूपमा कारोबार गर्ने लगानीकर्ताको संख्या भने तुलनात्मक रूपमा निकै कम रहेको पाइएको छ। २०७७ सालको असार मसान्तमा करिब १७ लाख डिम्याट खाता रहेकोमा, त्यसपछिका आर्थिक वर्षहरूमा तीव्र वृद्धि हुँदै चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८१/८२ को वैशाख मसान्तसम्म यो संख्या ६७ लाख ५२ हजार ७ सय पुगेको Demat Accounts Cross 6.7 Million, But Active Investors Still Low Kathmandu – The number of Demat (Beneficiary) accounts in Nepal has surpassed 6.75 million, driven by the mandatory requirement to hold a Demat account to participate in the stock market. However, the number of active investors remains significantly lower compared to the total accounts opened. According to the Nepal Securities Board (SEBON), as of the end of Baisakh 2081/82 (April–May 2025), the number of investors who have opened Demat accounts reached 6,752,700. Analyzing the trend shows that individual investors dominate the Nepali stock market, with 52.57% male and 42.43% female participation, based on CDS records.

Two sections that seek to distinguish between "bankers" and "businesspeople" have been discussed here: The first is Section 52(1), which states: "A bank or financial institution shall not provide any loan or facility to a person who has a significant ownership in the bank or financial institution or to a related party." The key terms in this section are "related," "person," and "bank." According to the definition in Section 2, "bank" refers to commercial banks and infrastructure development banks. The definition of "related person" includes both natural persons (individuals) and legal persons (companies and institutions). However, the term "significant ownership" refers only to natural persons, not institutions. Therefore, according to the proposed amendment, a bank or financial institution cannot provide loans or facilities to a related person or institution. However, such related persons or institutions may still borrow from other banks and financial institutions. The current law does not contain the term "related," and the proposed amendment clarifies this by making the provision more liberal. This change does not appear to have any significant impact.
