Retail investors, who have been facing prolonged downturns and sideways trends, still lack confidence in the market. On the trading day, NEPSE index rose by 18.30 points and closed at 2,850.37. While this improvement provides a minor positive signal, investor reactions remain cautious. Even though the market is showing signs of improvement, institutional and large investors are yet to enter aggressively. According to analysts, after reaching the 3,000 level, the index retraced back to the 2,800 range. Many investors are now assessing that the market will continue in a sideways trend for a while and are therefore holding their positions. Some analysts are identifying the 2,780 to 2,800 level as strong support and believe that the market is unlikely to fall below it.

The company is offering 5,358,150 right shares at a par value of NPR 100 each, totaling NPR 535.815 million. The rights are being issued at a 1:1 ratio — one new share for every one existing share held. After allotment, the company’s paid-up capital will increase to NPR 1.07163 billion. For the purpose of this issuance, the company had announced a book closure date on Jestha 22. Therefore, only shareholders who held shares until Jestha 21 are eligible to apply for the right shares. RBB Merchant Banking Limited is the issue and sales manager for this offering. The company is issuing 1,248,904 ordinary shares at a par value of NPR 100 per share. Earlier, the company had already issued and allotted IPO shares to locals of the project-affected areas and to Nepali citizens working abroad. As per the approval received from the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), the company was permitted to issue 1,890,530 shares, equivalent to 48.9998% of its total issued capital of NPR 385.824 million. Out of this, 1,248,904 shares are now being issued to the general public.
