गभर्नर नियुक्ति विषयमा बालुवाटारमा ओली–देउवा छलफल जारी काठमाडौं । प्रधानमन्त्री केपी शर्मा ओली र नेपाली कांग्रेसका सभापति शेरबहादुर देउवाबीच प्रधानमन्त्रीको सरकारी निवास बालुवाटारमा आज महत्वपूर्ण भेटवार्ता भइरहेको छ। विश्वसनीय स्रोतका अनुसार राष्ट्र बैंकको गभर्नर नियुक्तिलाई लिएर दुई शीर्ष नेताबीच विचारविमर्श भइरहेको छ। सोमबार साँझ भेट हुने भनिए पनि प्रधानमन्त्रीको स्वास्थ्य स्थिति सामान्य नहुँदा भेट सम्भव भएको थिएन। यद्यपि, छलफलको केन्द्रविन्दु गभर्नर नियुक्ति रहेको अनुमान गरिएको छ। कांग्रेस सभापति देउवाले गभर्नरको लागि अर्थशास्त्री प्रा.डा. विश्वनाथ पौडेलको नाम औपचारिक रूपमा अघि सारेका छन्। तर प्रधानमन्त्री ओली उक्त नाममा अनिच्छुक देखिँदै आएका छन्, जसका कारण नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया लामो समयदेखि स्थगित भएको छ। गभर्नर सिफारिस समितिको संयोजक अर्थमन्त्री विष्णु पौडेल रहेका छन्। उक्त समितिबाट तीनजना उम्मेदवारको नाम प्रस्ताव गरिने व्यवस्था छ, जसपश्चात मन्त्रिपरिषद् बैठकले एकजनाको नियुक्ति गर्नेछ। तर हालसम्म सिफारिस समिति नै बस्न सकेको छैन। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकमा गत चैत २४ गतेदेखि गभर्नरको पद रिक्त छ। यसबीचमा नीति निर्देशन, मौद्रिक व्यवस्थापन र वित्तीय स्थायित्वसँग सम्बन्धित काममा प्रभाव परिरहेको भन्दै विज्ञहरूले चासो व्यक्त गरेका छन्। अब प्रधानमन्त्री ओली र सभापति देउवाबीचको समन्वयले गभर्नर चयन प्रक्रिया अगाडि बढाउने सम्भावना कत्तिको छ भन्नेमा सबैको नजर केन्द्रित छ। Oli–Deuba Hold Talks in Baluwatar Amid Governor Appointment Deadlock Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba are currently holding a meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, with discussions reportedly centered around the long-pending appointment of the new Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
