The agreement was formalized during a special ceremony held on Tuesday in the presence of Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka. The agreement was signed by Engineer Sagar Shrestha, CEO of the National Grid Company, along with representatives from the participating hydropower companies: S.C. Power Company Pvt. Ltd., Surma Sarobar Hydropower Pvt. Ltd., Mata Malika Energy Multiple Pvt. Ltd., Surya Holding Pvt. Ltd., and Shree Himajal Hydropower Pvt. Ltd.

According to Parsa Police spokesperson DSP Kishor Lamsal, the suspects were apprehended from different locations during a coordinated operation. Anil Barnwal of Pakaha Mainpur Rural Municipality–2 was arrested with Rs 947,000 in cash. Similarly, Vinit Kumar Srivastava of Ward No. 3, Adarshanagar, Birgunj Metropolitan City was caught with Rs 1.581 million.

For the SunLife Term Life Insurance Policy, the bonus rate ranges from a minimum of NPR 30 to a maximum of NPR 65 per thousand of the sum assured. Similarly, the Bhagyodaya Life Insurance Policy offers a bonus between NPR 30 to 55 per thousand. The Bal Samriddhi Life Insurance Policy also provides a bonus within the same range of NPR 30 to 55. Out of its total 30% approved shares (1,119,000 units), 773,975 shares are now being offered to the public after allotments to project-affected locals, foreign-employed Nepalis, employees, and mutual funds. Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and up to 10,000 shares. The issue will close as early as Ashar 27 and no later than Shrawan 6. The company operates a 5 MW hydropower project and has received a BB- rating from ICRA Nepal, indicating moderate credit risk. NIC Asia Capital is the issue manager.

This follows Sunday’s significant 26.53-point gain, signaling a continuation of the market’s positive momentum. However, despite the index gain, a decline in total daily turnover to NPR 6.38 billion—down from over NPR 7 billion on Sunday—indicates investor caution persists. Out of 251 companies traded on Monday, share prices of 145 increased, 103 declined, and the rest remained unchanged. Sector-wise, 9 out of 13 sub-indices posted gains. The Manufacturing & Processing sub-index led the rally with a 1.63% increase, followed closely by the Microfinance sub-index, which climbed nearly 1%, showing rising investor interest in that segment.
