      सरकारले सार्वजनिक खरिद प्रक्रियालाई पारदर्शी, प्रतिस्पर्धी र प्रविधिमैत्री बनाउन सार्वजनिक खरिद ऐन, २०६३ संशोधन गर्ने भएको छ। नयाँ व्यवस्थाअनुसार अब सबै ठेक्कापट्टामा ई–बिडिङ अनिवार्य हुने र कागजी टेन्डर प्रणाली पूर्ण रूपमा हटाइनेछ। सबै बोलपत्रहरू ई–जीपी पोर्टलमार्फत मात्र पेश गर्नुपर्नेछ। यसले अनियमितता, मिलेमतो र बिचौलियाको प्रभाव घटाउने तथा सबै व्यवसायीलाई समान अवसर दिने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।The government is set to amend the Public Procurement Act, 2063 to make the procurement process more transparent, competitive, and technology-based. Under the new provision, e-bidding will be mandatory for all contracts, ending the paper-based tender system. All bids must be submitted through the e-GP portal only. The reform is expected to reduce irregularities, collusion, and middlemen influence while ensuring equal opportunities for all contractors.

Gold rose by NPR 100 per tola to NPR 3,02,800, while silver increased by NPR 30 per tola to NPR 5,250. Both metals saw a slight rise compared to the previous trading day.

      नेपाल आयल निगमले डिजेल, मट्टितेल र आन्तरिक हवाई इन्धनको मूल्य वृद्धि गरेको छ। बिहीबार मध्यरातिदेखि लागू हुने गरी डिजेल र मट्टितेलमा प्रतिलिटर ३० रुपैयाँ र हवाई इन्धनमा ५ रुपैयाँले वृद्धि गरिएको हो। नयाँ मूल्य अनुसार काठमाडौं उपत्यकामा डिजेल प्रतिलिटर २३७ रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ भने आन्तरिक हवाई इन्धन २५६ रुपैयाँ कायम भएको छ। पेट्रोलको मूल्य भने यथावत् राखिएको छ। निगमका अनुसार डिजेलमा अझै पनि ठूलो घाटा कायम छ।The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of diesel, kerosene, and domestic aviation fuel. Effective from midnight Thursday, diesel and kerosene prices have been raised by Rs. 30 per litre, while aviation fuel has increased by Rs. 5 per litre. Following the revision, diesel now costs Rs. 237 per litre in the Kathmandu Valley, and domestic aviation fuel is priced at Rs. 256 per litre. Petrol prices remain unchanged, and NOC said diesel is still being sold at a significant loss.

      नेपालको सार्वजनिक ऋण तीव्र रूपमा बढेर चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को चैत मसान्तसम्म २९ खर्ब ३३ अर्ब ७९ करोड रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ, जुन जीडीपीको करिब ४८ प्रतिशत हो। वैदेशिक ऋणको हिस्सा बढी रहँदा विनिमय दर अवमूल्यनका कारण थप भार पनि बढेको छ। सरकारले ऋण उठाउने लक्ष्यको करिब ५८ प्रतिशत मात्र संकलन गर्न सकेको छ भने ऋण सेवा खर्च पनि उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढेको छ।Nepal’s public debt has increased sharply, reaching NPR 2.93 trillion by the end of Chaitra in FY 2082/83, equivalent to about 48% of GDP. External debt accounts for a larger share, and currency depreciation has further increased the burden. The government has collected only about 58% of its borrowing target, while debt servicing costs have also risen significantly.

      राष्ट्रिय तथ्याङ्क कार्यालयले आजदेखि देशभर ‘राष्ट्रिय आर्थिक गणना’ को स्थलगत तथ्याङ्क सङ्कलन सुरु गरेको छ। आर्थिक नीति निर्माण, योजना तर्जुमा, लगानी प्रवर्द्धन र रोजगारी विश्लेषणका लागि आधार तयार गर्ने उद्देश्यले सुरु गरिएको यो गणना असार ७ गतेसम्म सञ्चालन हुनेछ। ७७ वटै जिल्लामा ८४ वटा गणना कार्यालयमार्फत उद्योग, व्यापार, सेवा क्षेत्र, सहकारी तथा सार्वजनिक–निजी आर्थिक एकाइहरूको विवरण सङ्कलन गरिनेछ। कूटनीतिक निकाय, सुरक्षा निकाय र घरायसी प्रयोजनका गतिविधि यसमा समावेश गरिने छैन। यसअघि २०७५ सालको गणनामा करिब ९ लाख २३ हजार प्रतिष्ठान र ३२ लाख रोजगारी देखिएको थियो। यस पटक प्रारम्भिक प्रतिवेदन आगामी आर्थिक वर्षको सुरुवातमा प्रकाशन गरिनेछ, साथै व्यवसायीहरूका लागि ‘ई–सेन्सस’ प्रणालीमार्फत अनलाइन विवरण बुझाउने व्यवस्था पनि गरिएको छ।The National Statistics Office has begun nationwide field data collection for the ‘National Economic Census’ starting today. The census aims to support economic policymaking, planning, investment promotion, and employment analysis, and will continue until Asar 7. A total of 84 census offices across all 77 districts will collect data covering industries, trade, services, cooperatives, and both public and private economic units. Diplomatic missions, security agencies, and household-only activities are excluded. In the previous 2018 census, around 923,000 establishments and about 3.2 million jobs were recorded. Preliminary reports are expected at the beginning of the next fiscal year, and an ‘e-census’ system has also been introduced for online data submission by businesses.

      चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को ९ महिनामा सरकारले करिब ५४ प्रतिशत बजेट खर्च गरेको छ। कुल १९ खर्ब ६४ अर्बमध्ये १० खर्ब ५९ अर्ब खर्च हुँदा अधिकांश रकम चालु खर्चमा गएको छ। पुँजीगत खर्च भने कमजोर रहँदै २३.५८ प्रतिशत मात्र भएको छ। मध्यपूर्वको तनावका कारण निर्माण सामग्री अभावले विकास खर्च प्रभावित भएको छ। यसैबीच सरकारले ९ खर्ब ७ अर्ब आम्दानी गरेको छ।In the first nine months of fiscal year 2082/83, the Government of Nepal has spent about 54% of its total budget. Out of NPR 19.64 trillion, NPR 10.59 trillion has been utilized, mostly on recurrent expenses. Capital expenditure remains low at 23.58%, affected by construction material shortages due to Middle East tensions. Meanwhile, the government has generated NPR 907 billion in revenue.

      २०८२ सालको अन्तिम कारोबार दिन नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेन्ज (NEPSE) परिसूचक ४.१८ अंकले घटेर २८३३.६० विन्दुमा बन्द भएको छ। बजारमा सामान्य गिरावटसँगै कारोबार रकम पनि घटेको छ। केही कम्पनीहरूको शेयर सकारात्मक सर्किटमा कारोबार भए पनि समग्र बजार कमजोर रह्यो। १३ मध्ये ६ उपसमूह बढ्दा ७ उपसमूह घटेका छन्।On the last trading day of the year 2082, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 4.18 points to close at 2,833.60. The market showed a slight downturn with reduced trading volume. Although a few companies hit positive circuit levels, the overall market remained weak. Out of 13 sub-indices, six increased while seven declined.

      काठमाडौंमा उच्च तरलता र कमजोर कर्जा मागका कारण वाणिज्य बैंकहरूले मुद्दती निक्षेपको ब्याजदर थप घटाएका छन्। वैशाख महिनाका लागि व्यक्तिगत मुद्दती निक्षेपको औसत ब्याजदर ४.४ प्रतिशतमा झरेको छ, जुन अघिल्लो महिनाभन्दा कम हो। अधिकांश बैंकहरूले दर यथावत् राखेका भए पनि केही बैंकहरूले कटौती गरेका छन्। बजारमा लगानीयोग्य रकम प्रशस्त भए पनि कर्जा प्रवाह सुस्त हुँदा ब्याजदर निरन्तर घटिरहेको देखिएको छ।Commercial banks in Kathmandu have further reduced fixed deposit interest rates due to high liquidity and weak credit demand. The average rate for individual fixed deposits has fallen to 4.4 percent in Baisakh, lower than the previous month. While most banks kept rates unchanged, some reduced them. Despite excess investable funds in the market, sluggish loan demand has continued to push interest rates downward.

      हवाई इन्धनको मूल्य बढेसँगै नेपालमा आन्तरिक उडानका यात्रु संख्या उल्लेख्य रूपमा घटेको छ। Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal का अनुसार चैत १८ पछि दैनिक यात्रु १२ हजारबाट घटेर करिब ७ देखि ८ हजारमा झरेका छन्, जसले गत वर्षको तुलनामा करिब १८ प्रतिशत गिरावट देखाएको छ। इन्धनको मूल्य Nepal Oil Corporation ले प्रतिलिटर १२४ रुपैयाँले बढाएपछि हवाई भाडा पनि ५ हजार ४८० रुपैयाँसम्म बढेको छ। यात्रु घट्दा एयरलाइन्स तथा प्राधिकरणको आम्दानी प्रभावित भएको छ र एयरलाइन्सहरूले उडान मर्ज तथा कटौती गर्न थालेका छन्।Domestic air travel in Nepal has declined significantly following the rise in aviation fuel prices. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, daily passenger numbers have dropped from around 12,000 to about 7,000–8,000 after Chaitra 18, marking an 18% decrease compared to last year. The fuel price increase of NPR 124 per liter by Nepal Oil Corporation has pushed airfares up by as much as NPR 5,480. As a result, airlines are experiencing reduced revenue and have begun merging or cutting flights to manage lower demand.
