अर्घाखाँची सिमेन्टलाई २ लाख ५ हजार जरिवाना, उपभोक्ता संरक्षण ऐन उल्लङ्घनमा विभागको कारबाही वाणिज्य आपूर्ति तथा उपभोक्ता संरक्षण विभागले उपभोक्ता संरक्षण ऐनअनुसार अनियमितता गरेको ठहर गर्दै अर्घाखाँची सिमेन्ट उद्योगलाई २ लाख ५ हजार रुपैयाँ जरिवाना गरेको छ। विभागले आइतबार रुपन्देही र काठमाडौँका विभिन्न उद्योग–प्रतिष्ठानमा गरिएको आकस्मिक बजार अनुगमनका क्रममा अनियमितता भेटिएपछि कारबाही अघि बढाएको हो। विभागका अनुसार अर्घाखाँची सिमेन्टले उपभोक्ता संरक्षण ऐन, २०७५ को दफा १६ र दफा ३८ बमोजिम कसुर犯 गरेको पाइएपछि सोही ऐनको दफा ३९(१) अनुसार जरिवाना गरिएको हो। यस अन्तर्गत वस्तु तथा सेवाको गुणस्तर, परिमाण, मूल्य, नापतौल, ढाँचा तथा बिक्री–प्रदानका प्रक्रियामा अनुचित व्यापारिक गतिविधि गरेको मानिएको छ।Department Fines Arghakhanchi Cement Rs 205,000 for Violating Consumer Protection Act The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has fined Arghakhanchi Cement Rs 205,000 for violating provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075. The action was taken during a surprise market inspection carried out on Sunday across various industries and enterprises in Rupandehi and Kathmandu. According to the department, Arghakhanchi Cement was found guilty of offenses under Sections 16 and 38 of the Act, leading to action under Section 39(1). The company was penalized for engaging in unfair business practices related to product quality, quantity, pricing, measurement, packaging, and the process of selling or supplying goods and services.
