बैंकहरूमा निक्षेप उच्च, कर्जा विस्तार भने सुस्त गतिमा नेपालका बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाहरूमा हाल उच्च मात्रामा निक्षेप संकलन भए पनि सोही अनुपातमा कर्जा प्रवाह हुन नसकेको देखिएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले सार्वजनिक गरेको पछिल्लो तथ्यांक अनुसार, वाणिज्य बैंक, विकास बैंक र फाइनान्स कम्पनीहरू समेट्दा देशभर कुल निक्षेप रकम ६९ खर्ब ११ अर्ब रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ। यो हालसम्मकै उच्च निक्षेप स्तर हो। तर, सोही अवधिसम्म कुल कर्जा लगानी ५५ खर्ब ३७ अर्ब रुपैयाँमा सीमित छ। अर्थात्, निक्षेपमा तीव्र वृद्धि भए पनि कर्जा प्रवाह अपेक्षाकृत कम भइरहेको छ। विस्तृत रूपमा हेर्दा, वाणिज्य बैंकहरूले मात्रै ६१ खर्ब ७५ अर्ब रुपैयाँ निक्षेप संकलन गरेका छन् भने अन्य विकास बैंक तथा फाइनान्सहरूले बाँकी ७ खर्ब ३५ अर्ब बराबरको निक्षेप भित्र्याएका छन्। कर्जातर्फ वाणिज्य बैंकको लगानी ४९ खर्ब १९ अर्ब रहेको छ भने अन्य संस्थाहरूको कर्जा प्रवाह ६ खर्ब १८ अर्बमा सीमित छ।Bank Deposits Hit All-Time High, But Credit Growth Remains Sluggish Nepal's banking system has witnessed a record surge in deposits, but loan disbursement has failed to keep pace, indicating a slowdown in credit demand across the economy. With limited loan disbursement opportunities amid weak economic activity, banks are redirecting surplus liquidity into short-term instruments. As a result, NRB has once again moved to absorb excess funds from the system. Today, it issued a 21-day deposit collection instrument worth NPR 80 billion to mop up liquidity. This comes even before the previously collected NPR 31.65 billion from April 6 has matured.
