नेपालमा वैदेशिक रोजगारीबाट आउने रेमिट्यान्स रकम पछिल्ला वर्षहरूमा निरन्तर बढिरहेको छ। २०१९/२० मा रू. ८७५ अर्बबाट सुरु भएको यो क्रम २०२३/२४ मा रू. १४४५.३ अर्ब पुगेको छ। चालू वर्षको मध्य-अप्रिलसम्म नै रू. ११९१.३ अर्ब आइसकेको छ। यो वृद्धिले वैदेशिक रोजगारीको प्रभाव, प्रवाहको सहजता र घरेलु बेरोजगारीको संकेत दिन्छ। अब यो रकमलाई दीर्घकालीन विकासमा प्रयोग गर्न सक्नुपर्ने आवश्यकता छ।Nepal's remittance inflow has shown a consistent upward trend over the past six fiscal years. From Rs. 875 billion in FY 2019/20, it rose steadily to Rs. 1445.3 billion in FY 2023/24. Even the mid-April data of FY 2024/25 shows Rs. 1191.3 billion already received, indicating continued growth. This surge is attributed to an increase in outbound labor migration, improved remittance channels, and limited domestic job opportunities. Going forward, utilizing remittances for productive investment will be crucial for Nepal’s sustainable economic development.

However, mid-April data for 2024/25 shows a slight decline to Rs. 346.2 billion, suggesting the need for continued economic vigilance.

This recovery reflects improved international demand, better trade facilitation, and growing momentum in export-focused industries. Sustaining this growth will require policy support, infrastructure investment, and innovation from both the public and private sectors.
