न्यायपालिकामा चुलिँदो मुद्दा चाप, ३ लाख ७५ हजारभन्दा बढी मुद्दा व्यवस्थापन चुनौतीपूर्णGrowing Pressure on Judiciary as Pending Court Cases Surpass 375,000 Nationwide
काठमाडौं । प्रस्तावित प्रधानन्यायाधीश डा. मनोज कुमार शर्मा ले न्यायपालिकाको कार्यबोझ तीव्र रूपमा बढ्दै गएको बताएका छन् । वि.सं. २०६१ मा १ लाख ७ हजार रहेको वार्षिक मुद्दा लगत २०८२ असारसम्म बढेर ३ लाख ७५ हजार पुगेको छ । पछिल्लो आर्थिक वर्षमा मात्रै २ लाख १४ हजारभन्दा बढी नयाँ मुद्दा दर्ता भएका छन् । दैनिक फर्छ्यौट संख्या दर्ताभन्दा बढी भए पनि पुराना बक्यौता मुद्दा अझै उच्च रहेको उल्लेख गरिएको छ । सूचना प्रविधि प्रणालीमा आएको समस्याका कारण मुद्दा व्यवस्थापन प्रभावित भएको भन्दै उनले कार्यविधि सरलीकरण, सूचना प्रविधिको अधिक प्रयोग र व्यवस्थापन सुधारमार्फत बक्यौता घटाउने योजना प्रस्तुत गरेका छन् ।Kathmandu: Proposed Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma has stated that the workload of Nepal’s judiciary has increased sharply over the years. The annual number of pending cases has risen from around 107,000 in 2061 B.S. to more than 375,000 by the end of Ashadh 2082 B.S. More than 214,000 new cases were registered in the last fiscal year alone. Although daily case settlements are higher than daily registrations, old backlog cases still remain high. Sharma said issues in information technology systems have also affected case management and proposed measures such as procedural simplification, improved management, and greater use of technology to reduce pending cases.
