सरकारले निजी क्षेत्रलाई विद्युत् व्यापारमा सहभागी गराउने तयारी गर्दै आवश्यक कानुनी व्यवस्था अघि बढाएको छ। ऊर्जा मन्त्रालयका अनुसार विद्युत् व्यापारको लाइसेन्स अब नियमावली होइन, ऐनमार्फत प्रदान गरिनेछ। ऊर्जामन्त्री विराजभक्त श्रेष्ठ ले निजी क्षेत्रको मनोबल बढाउन र ऊर्जा क्षेत्रमा सहभागिता विस्तार गर्न यस्तो व्यवस्था गर्न लागिएको बताएका छन्। विद्युत् विधेयक २०८२ संसदमा पेश भइसकेको छ।The government is preparing to allow private sector participation in electricity trading through a new legal framework. According to the Ministry of Energy, electricity trading licenses will be issued through an Act instead of regulations to avoid future legal complications. Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha said the move aims to encourage private sector involvement in the energy sector. The Electricity Bill 2082 has already been tabled in Parliament.
