वैदेशिक व्यापार बढ्दा पनि घाटा अझै उच्च आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को पहिलो महिनामा नै नेपालले एक खर्ब ६६ अर्बभन्दा बढीको वैदेशिक व्यापार गरेको छ। भन्सार विभागले शुक्रबार सार्वजनिक गरेको तथ्यांक अनुसार चालु वर्षको साउन महिनामा वैदेशिक व्यापार अघिल्लो वर्षको तुलनामा १८.७५ प्रतिशतले वृद्धि भएको हो। तथ्यांक अनुसार यस अवधिमा एक खर्ब ४३ अर्ब ४ करोड रुपैयाँ बराबरको वस्तु आयात भएको छ भने निर्यात २३ अर्ब ९३ करोड २४ लाख रुपैयाँ बराबरको मात्र भएको छ। अघिल्लो वर्षको यही महिनामा आयात १ खर्ब २८ अर्ब ३७ करोड रुपैयाँ र निर्यात १२ अर्ब २२ करोड ६१ लाख रुपैयाँ मात्र रहेको थियो। यसरी हेर्दा निर्यातमा ९५.७५ प्रतिशतले उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि भए पनि आयातमा पनि ११.४२ प्रतिशतले वृद्धि भएको छ।Foreign Trade Surges in First Month of FY 2082/83, But Trade Deficit Still High Nepal recorded foreign trade worth over NPR 166 billion in just the first month of the current fiscal year 2082/83. The decision was made during the board meeting of Prabhu Bank held on Shrawan 30 (August 14, 2024). Accordingly, unit holders registered in NEPSE by Bhadra 12 (August 29, 2024) will be eligible for the dividend.

Shares totaling 178,78,146 units from companies unable to list were bought and sold in the OTC market. Companies like Professional Educators and Sopan Multiples saw millions of shares being traded. 1,49,908 shares of Sopan Multiples were sold at 130 rupees each. Shares of unlisted companies can be traded in the OTC market, with a 10% deposit required for transactions.

नेपालले आईएमएफमा सेयर हिस्सा ५० प्रतिशत बढाउने नेपालले अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मुद्रा कोष (आईएमएफ) मा आफ्नो सेयर हिस्सा ५० प्रतिशतले बढाउने निर्णय गरेको छ। हाल १५९.९ मिलियन एसडीआर रहेको नेपालको फन्ड कोटालाई २३५.३५ मिलियन एसडीआर बनाउन लागिएको हो। सोमबारको मन्त्रिपरिषदको बैठकले ७८.४५ मिलियन एसडीआर थप गर्ने सहमति दिएको छ। यससँगै नेपालले आईएमएफलाई १० करोड ७३ लाख अमेरिकी डलर (करीब १५ अर्ब रुपैयाँ) दिनेछ। २५ प्रतिशत रकम चालु आर्थिक वर्षको बजेटबाट र बाँकी ७५ प्रतिशत नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको प्रमिसरी नोट जारी गरेर भुक्तानी गरिनेछ। यसले नेपालको आईएमएफमा मतदान र ऋणको सीमा बढाउनेछ।Nepal Decides to Increase Its Shareholding in IMF by 50 Percent Nepal has decided to increase its shareholding in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by 50 percent. Currently, Nepal’s fund quota stands at 159.9 million SDR, which will be raised to 235.35 million SDR. The Cabinet meeting held on Monday agreed to increase the share by 78.45 million SDR. As a result, Nepal will contribute 107.3 million USD (approximately 15 billion NPR) to the IMF. Of this amount, 25 percent will be paid from the current fiscal year's budget, and the remaining 75 percent will be paid through promissory notes issued by Nepal Rastra Bank. This increase will enhance Nepal's voting power and loan limits at the IMF.

सिटी होटल लिमिटेडले भदौ २३ गतेदेखि हकप्रद शेयर निष्कासन गर्ने सिटी होटल लिमिटेडले आगामी भदौ २३ गतेदेखि हकप्रद शेयर निष्कासन गर्ने भएको छ। कम्पनीले हाल कायम चुक्ता पुँजी १ अर्ब ६७ करोड ४० लाख रुपैयाँबराबरको १०० अंकित मूल्यमा प्रतिकित्ता १ः०.८ अनुपातमा १ करोड ३३ लाख ९२ हजार कित्ता हकप्रद शेयर निष्कासन गर्ने जानकारी दिएको छ। यसअनुसार, पुराना शेयरधनीहरूलाई १० कित्तामा ८ कित्ता हकप्रद शेयर प्राप्त हुनेछ। कम्पनीले यस प्रयोजनका लागि साउन २७ गते बुक क्लोज गरेको थियो। तसर्थ, साउन २६ गतेसम्म नेप्सेमा कारोबार भइ कायम हुने शेयरधनीहरूलाई मात्र हकप्रद शेयरका लागि आवेदन दिने अवसर हुनेछ। हकप्रद आवेदन प्रक्रिया असोज १२ गतेसम्म खुला रहनेछ। सिटी होटलको हकप्रद शेयर बिक्री प्रबन्धकमा प्रभु क्यापिटल रहेको छ।City Hotel Limited to Issue Rights Shares from 23rd Bhadra City Hotel Limited is set to issue rights shares starting from 23rd Bhadra. The company will issue 1,33,92,000 rights shares at a price of Rs. 100 per share, representing 80% of its current paid-up capital, which amounts to Rs. 1.67 billion. The rights offering will be made at a ratio of 8 new shares for every 10 shares held. The company has already closed its books on 27th Shrawn, meaning only shareholders who hold shares as of 26th Shrawn (prior to the closure) will be eligible to apply for the rights shares. The application deadline for the rights shares is 12th Ashoj. Prabhu Capital has been appointed as the issue manager for this rights offering.

This comes after two consecutive days of positive growth. The Sensitive Index also dropped by 2.10 points, while the Float Index and Sensitive Float Index saw declines of 0.68 points and 0.72 points, respectively. These movements indicate some bearish pressure in the market. There was also a drop in trading volume. On the previous day, shares worth NPR 5.63 billion were traded, but on Wednesday, the market saw a turnover of NPR 5.20 billion with 323 stocks and 53,853 transactions, amounting to 1.52 million shares being traded. Among the notable stocks, Development Hydropower's shares saw a positive surge, closing at NPR 321.30, up by NPR 29.20. Similarly, Chandragiri Hills witnessed a 7.5% rise in its stock price, while KB L Debenture 2086 saw a gain of over 7%. Panchakanya My Hydropower’s stock price, however, declined by 9.03%.
