The company plans to issue 22.5 lakh ordinary shares to the general public at a face value of Rs. 100 per share. Established in 2012 with an investment of over Rs. 1 Arba, the distillery produces grain-based extra neutral alcohol and various spirits, contributing to import substitution and strengthening Nepal’s domestic liquor manufacturing sector.

Under the proposal, Supreme Health Care plans to issue 1.4 million ordinary shares at a face value of Rs100 per share, aiming to raise Rs140 million in paid-up capital from the public. The company has appointed Global IME Capital Limited as the issue and sales manager for the IPO.

चालु आर्थिक वर्षको छ महिनामा सवा एक खर्बभन्दा बढी सार्वजनिक ऋण थपियो काठमाडौं — चालु आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो छ महिनामा सरकारको सार्वजनिक ऋण उल्लेख्य रूपमा बढेको छ। सार्वजनिक ऋण व्यवस्थापन कार्यालयको मासिक प्रतिवेदन अनुसार साउनदेखि पुस मसान्तसम्म १ खर्ब ३२ अर्ब ३४ करोड रुपैयाँ सार्वजनिक ऋण थपिएको हो। यस अवधिमा अमेरिकी डलरको तुलनामा नेपाली रुपैयाँ कमजोर बन्दै जाँदा ऋण दायित्व अझै बढेको छ। कार्यालयका अनुसार विनिमय दरको असरले मात्रै पुस मसान्तसम्म ७० अर्ब ६८ करोड रुपैयाँ बराबरको अतिरिक्त ऋण दायित्व थपिएको छ। नेपालले बाह्य ऋणको साँवा भुक्तानी अमेरिकी डलरमा गर्नुपर्ने भएकाले डलर बलियो हुँदा ऋणको भार स्वाभाविक रूपमा बढ्ने गर्छ। राष्ट्र बैंकका अनुसार मंगलबार एक अमेरिकी डलर बराबर १४५.७६ रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ।Public Debt Rises by More Than Rs132 Billion in First Six Months of the Fiscal Year Kathmandu — Nepal’s public debt has increased sharply in the first half of the current fiscal year, reflecting weak revenue performance, rising expenditure pressure, and the impact of a depreciating national currency. According to the latest monthly report of the Public Debt Management Office, public debt rose by Rs132.34 billion between mid-July and mid-January. A major contributor to the rise in debt burden has been the weakening of the Nepali rupee against the US dollar. By mid-January, exchange rate fluctuations alone had added Rs70.68 billion to Nepal’s public debt liability. As Nepal must repay external loan principals in US dollars, a stronger dollar directly increases the country’s debt obligations in rupee terms. Nepal Rastra Bank data show that one US dollar stood at Rs145.76 on Tuesday.

The company has received approval to issue 3.2 million ordinary shares worth NPR 320 million, representing 32.65 percent of its issued capital of NPR 980 million. In the initial phase, the IPO has been made available specifically to locals affected by the project and Nepalis employed overseas. For project-affected local residents, Shikhar Power is issuing IPO shares equivalent to 10 percent of its issued capital, amounting to NPR 98 million. Accordingly, 980,000 ordinary shares with a par value of NPR 100 per share have been allocated for local residents. The company stated that the allocation is based on details outlined in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report and the electricity generation license.

Issuing a public notice on Tuesday, the company stated that its board meeting held on Poush 24 decided to convene the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Magh 28 (Wednesday) at the company’s registered office in Hattisar, Kathmandu. According to the notice, the AGM will deliberate on issuing shares to the general public in accordance with prevailing securities laws. The IPO may be issued at a premium price, through the book-building mechanism, or at par value. According to the issue manager, NMV Capital, the allotment was carried out this morning. As per the allotment details, 46,681 applicants have been allotted 10 shares each, while an additional seven investors received one extra share each. The allocation was conducted in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework and oversubscription norms. Investors can check their FPO allotment results through the issue manager NMV Capital, their Meroshare accounts, and the website operated by CDS and Clearing.
