सामाजिक सञ्जाल र मोबाइल एपमार्फत वित्तीय ठगी बढ्दै, राष्ट्र बैंकले नागरिकलाई सचेत रहन आग्रह काठमाडौं, असोज २८ — पछिल्लो समयमा विभिन्न सामाजिक सञ्जाल र मोबाइल एपमार्फत वित्तीय ठगीका घटना तीव्र गतिमा बढिरहेका छन्। अपरिचित व्यक्ति वा नम्बरबाट ‘लक्की ड्रमा परेका’, ‘महँगो मोबाइल वा पुरस्कार जितेका’, ‘विदेशबाट पार्सल आएको’, ‘धन–सुन फेला परेको’, वा ‘छोटो समयमा धेरै प्रतिफल पाइने’ जस्ता आकर्षक सन्देशहरू पठाउने क्रम तीव्र भएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले सोमबार एक विज्ञप्ति जारी गर्दै नागरिकहरूलाई यस्ता भ्रामक सन्देश र प्रस्तावहरूबाट सावधान रहन आग्रह गरेको छ। केन्द्रीय बैंकका अनुसार यस्ता सन्देशहरू प्रायः वित्तीय ठगीका उद्देश्यले पठाइएका हुन्छन्, जसको मुख्य लक्ष्य सर्वसाधारणको व्यक्तिगत वा वित्तीय विवरण चोरी गरेर आर्थिक हानि पुर्याउनु हो।Financial Scams Rising Through Social Media and Mobile Apps — Nepal Rastra Bank Urges Public to Stay Alert Kathmandu, October 14 — In recent months, incidents of financial fraud through various social media platforms and mobile applications have been rapidly increasing. Scammers are using WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, email, and SMS to send deceptive messages claiming that recipients have “won a lucky draw,” “received a parcel from abroad,” “found hidden treasure,” or can “earn high returns in a short time.” The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a public notice urging citizens to stay alert and not fall victim to such fraudulent schemes. According to the central bank, these messages are typically part of financial scams designed to steal personal or financial information and cause monetary loss.
