जेठ ९ गते, नेपाली बजारमा सुन १,१०० र चाँदी २० रुपैयाँले घटे। सुनको मूल्य १ लाख ९० हजार ४०० र चाँदीको २ हजार ५ रुपैयाँ तोलामा पुगेको छ। मूल्य घट्नुको कारण अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बजारको उतारचढाव मानिएको छ।On May 23 (Jestha 9), gold and silver prices in Nepal dropped. Hallmark gold fell by NPR 1,100 per tola to NPR 190,400, and silver dropped by NPR 20 per tola to NPR 2,005. The decline reflects fluctuations in the international market.

नेपालमा सार्वजनिक लिमिटेड कम्पनीहरूले नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्ड (SEBON) को नियमनमा आईपीओ जारी गर्न पाउँछन्। कम्पनीको चुक्तापूँजी कम्तीमा १० करोड, ७ जना सेयरधनी, क्रेडिट रेटिङ तथा सेबोनबाट स्वीकृत प्रस्पेक्टस हुनु आवश्यक छ। कुल सेयरमध्ये कम्तिमा २० प्रतिशत सर्वसाधारणलाई खुला गर्नुपर्ने प्रावधान छ। आर्थिक वर्ष २०७९/८० को बजेटअनुसार, १ अर्ब रुपैयाँभन्दा बढी पूँजी, ५ अर्बभन्दा बढी वार्षिक कारोबार गर्ने वा सरकारी सुविधा वा स्रोत प्रयोग गर्ने कम्पनीहरूलाई अनिवार्यरूपमा आईपीओ ल्याउनुपर्नेछ। यसले पारदर्शिता, जवाफदेहिता र जनसहभागिता बढाउने उद्देश्य राखेको छ।Nepal allows public limited companies to issue IPOs under the regulation of SEBON. Companies must have at least NPR 100 million in paid-up capital, 7 shareholders, a credit rating, and an approved prospectus. They must offer at least 20% of their shares to the public. As per the 2079/80 budget, it's mandatory for companies with over NPR 1 billion capital, annual transactions above NPR 5 billion, or those using public resources or receiving government benefits to issue IPOs. This aims to boost transparency, accountability, and public investment in Nepal's growing capital market.

The minimum price per share has been set at NPR 390. Interested existing promoters must submit a formal application specifying the quantity and price they wish to purchase at, within 35 days from the announcement. Applications must be submitted to the company’s central office in Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu. The company has also stated that if no applications are received from the current promoter shareholders within the given time frame, the shares may be sold to other individuals or institutions. This move is aimed at strengthening the ownership structure of the company and offering current promoters a chance to increase their stake in Chhimek Laghubitta.

The company is issuing 2,415,300 units of shares at a face value of NPR 100 per share, amounting to a total worth of NPR 241.53 million. Earlier, the company had already allocated shares to project-affected locals and Nepali citizens working abroad who had received labor approval from the government. The remaining shares under the second phase are now available for the general public and will remain open for subscription until Jestha 13 (May 26). If the issue is not fully subscribed by then, it will be extended up to Jestha 23 (June 5). According to the issue manager, Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited, investors can apply for the IPO through any ASBA-approved bank or financial institution and their designated branches. Additionally, applications can also be submitted conveniently through the Mero Share online platform.

विद्युतीय सवारी आयातमा ४५.९० प्रतिशतको वृद्धि, चीनबाट मात्रै ८२ प्रतिशत चालु आर्थिक वर्षको पहिलो १० महिनामा नेपालमा विद्युतीय सवारी (ईभी) को आयात उल्लेखनीय रूपमा बढेको छ। भन्सार विभागले सार्वजनिक गरेको तथ्यांकअनुसार साउनदेखि वैशाखसम्म ४२ हजार १ सय २ ओटा ईभी गाडी नेपाल भित्रिएका छन्, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको सोही अवधिको तुलनामा ४५.९० प्रतिशतले बढी हो। गत वर्ष सोही अवधिमा २८ हजार ८ सय ५६ ओटा ईभी मात्र आयात भएका थिए। यस वर्ष १३ हजार २ सय ४६ ओटा विद्युतीय सवारी थप भित्रिएपछि वातावरणमैत्री सवारीप्रतिको आकर्षण बढ्दै गएको प्रष्ट हुन्छ। यसवर्ष ईभी आयातमा कुल ३३ अर्ब ३२ करोड २१ लाख ६६ हजार रुपैयाँ खर्च भएको छ, जुन अघिल्लो वर्षको तुलनामा २७.९२ प्रतिशतले बढी हो। अघिल्लो आर्थिक वर्षको वैशाखसम्म ईभी आयातमा २६ अर्ब ४ करोड रुपैयाँ खर्च गरिएको थियो।Electric Vehicle Imports Surge by 45.90% in Nepal, China Accounts for Over 82% Nepal has witnessed a significant rise in the import of electric vehicles (EVs) during the first ten months of the current fiscal year. According to data released by the Department of Customs, a total of 42,102 EVs were imported between mid-July and mid-May, marking a 45.90% increase compared to the same period last fiscal year, when only 28,856 EVs were brought in. This surge translates into an additional 13,246 EVs entering the country this year, reflecting Nepal’s growing shift towards environment-friendly transportation alternatives. The total spending on EV imports this fiscal year has reached Rs. 33.32 billion, which is 27.92% higher than the Rs. 26.04 billion spent during the same period last year. Likewise, customs revenue from EVs has also seen a sharp rise. The government collected Rs. 17.47 billion in EV-related customs duties this fiscal year, compared to Rs. 10.92 billion last year. This marks a 59.90% increase in revenue, amounting to an additional Rs. 6.54 billion.

नेपालमा बैंकिङ प्रणालीको तरलता मामुली रूपमा सुधार भएको देखिएको छ। समग्र निक्षेप ६ खर्ब ८९२ अर्ब रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ, जुन अघिल्लो दिनको ६ खर्ब ८८५ अर्ब भन्दा ७ अर्बले बढी हो। यसमा व्यवसायिक बैंकहरूको निक्षेप ६,१५८ अर्ब पुगेको छ भने अन्य वित्तीय संस्थाहरूको निक्षेप ७३५ अर्ब पुगेको छ। तर, कुल ऋण प्रवाह यथावत् ५,५२९ अर्ब रुपैयाँमै स्थिर रहेको छ। व्यवसायिक बैंकहरूले ४,९१२ अर्ब र अन्य बीएफआईहरूले ६१७ अर्ब ऋण दिएका छन्। यो स्थिरताले ऋणमा माग कमी वा बैंकहरूको सतर्कता देखाउँछ।Nepal's banking sector saw a slight improvement in liquidity. Total deposits increased to NPR 6,892 billion, up from NPR 6,885 billion a day earlier. Commercial banks contributed the most, rising from NPR 6,151 billion to NPR 6,158 billion. Other BFIs also saw a small increase in deposits. However, total lending remained flat at NPR 5,529 billion, with commercial banks lending NPR 4,912 billion and other BFIs NPR 617 billion. This stagnation indicates a cautious lending environment or reduced credit demand.
