Mishra, who rose to political prominence during the Madhesh Movement, had contested the 2017 parliamentary elections from Banke-2 under the CPN-UML’s symbol. He is currently a central committee member of the UML. After being on the run for an extended period, Mishra was under close watch following his suspected involvement in the large-scale banking fraud.

This trend highlights the persistent liquidity surplus in the banking system, as banks continue to accumulate idle funds that they are unable to channel into loans. Despite this excess liquidity, banks are restricted from deploying all their deposits as loans. Regulatory requirements mandate that banks must maintain at least 20% of their funds as liquid assets—such as government securities or cash reserves—to ensure they can meet immediate withdrawal demands from customers. A portion of this liquid asset is also kept directly with the central bank.

For the SunLife Term Life Insurance Policy, the bonus rate ranges from a minimum of NPR 30 to a maximum of NPR 65 per thousand of the sum assured. Similarly, the Bhagyodaya Life Insurance Policy offers a bonus between NPR 30 to 55 per thousand. The Bal Samriddhi Life Insurance Policy also provides a bonus within the same range of NPR 30 to 55.
