अरुण–३ जलविद्युत परियोजना, सङ्खुवासभा, नेपालमा अवस्थित, नेपालको जलविद्युत सम्भावना उपयोग गर्न तयार गरिएको महत्त्वपूर्ण परियोजना हो। एसजेभीएन अरुण–३ पावर डेभलपमेन्ट कम्पनी (SAPDC) द्वारा विकास गरिएको यो परियोजनाको जडित क्षमता ९०० मेगावाट छ, जसले वार्षिक ३,४६६ गीगावाटघण्टा ऊर्जा उत्पादन गर्नेछ। परियोजनाको अनुमानित लागत १४४ अर्ब रुपैयाँ रहेको छ र यो निर्माण–सञ्चालन–हस्तान्तरण (BOOT) मोडेल अन्तर्गत २५ वर्षको कन्सेसन अवधिमा सञ्चालन हुनेछ। परियोजनाबाट प्राप्त हुने मुख्य लाभहरूमाः कन्सेसन अवधिमा ३४८ अर्ब रुपैयाँ राजस्व, प्रभावित परिवारलाई निःशुल्क विद्युत, १.६ अर्ब रुपैयाँ स्थानिय सेयर वितरण, र ३,००० प्रत्यक्ष रोजगारीको सिर्जना समावेश छ। परियोजनाले नेपाल र भारतलाई जोड्ने २१७ किलोमिटर ४०० केभी प्रसारण लाइनमार्फत क्षेत्रीय ऊर्जा व्यापारलाई बलियो बनाउनेछ। हाल परियोजनाको ५३% निर्माण कार्य सम्पन्न भइसकेको छ भने ४०.६३% आर्थिक प्रगति भएको छ। यो परियोजना नेपालको ऊर्जा क्षेत्रलाई सुदृढ बनाउन, जीवनस्तर सुधार गर्न, र दक्षिण एसियामा नेपाललाई क्षेत्रीय ऊर्जा केन्द्रको रूपमा स्थापित गर्न मद्दत पुर्याउने लक्ष्यमा केन्द्रित छ।The Arun-3 Hydropower Project, located in Sankhuwasabha, Nepal, is a landmark initiative to harness the country's hydropower potential. As per the announcement, the buying rate for 100 Indian Rupees is set at NPR 160.100, and the selling rate is NPR 160.150.
